How Long is each In-Person Lesson?
Each lesson is 1 hour long.
Where is IQ Dog Training Located?
We do private lessons at your home, park, location of your choice. But our business address is located at 10936 Coolhurst Dr. Whittier, CA 90606
How does a boarding & Training (Boot-camp) program work?
Your dog stays with us for 2 weeks or 3 weeks for intense daily training. We send you videos of your dog's progress throughout the week so you can see how they are doing. Once the 2-3 weeks is complete we will drive your dog back home to you and give you a training lesson to show you how to handle your dog properly. Every board and train comes with follow-up lessons to make sure your dog's training was a success. |Can I visit my dog during a bootcamp?" Yes, as long as an appointment is scheduled ahead of time.
What methods do you use?
I use positive reinforcement and balanced techniques. Positive reinforcement is the foundation for all training and never stops in any step of training including corrections.
Do I need any Training Tools?
I recommend a 6 foot biothane leash for training and walking, a 20-30 foot leash for playing at parks with your dog. The starmark collar is a more gentle way to give corrections.
Does this work with older dogs?
Yes, the advice given in this course works with all breeds and ages.
